Got up and rolling about 5 this morning. I found a bike tire so my duct tape tire has been retired.
Again there is not much to say about the ride today. I am looking forward to getting on the Katy Trail in a couple days. It will take me on a non-motorized trail near the Missouri River for 150 miles.
I made it to Arrow Rock State Park. One good thing about the heat is that I get to pick any tent spot, because there are no people tenting it in the heat. I took a little hike to the river. There were a lot of big fish jumping and some white tail deer running around.
Miles 60, total 2619, avg 11.9, max 30.8, time 4.59
Sounds like a challenging few days with the heat and mechanical issues. It will be nice to get way from the traffic for a few days.
