Finally made it out of Atchison around 12. Today I took a short cut on the 92 which cut off about 20 miles. There was a lot of 4th traffic on the 92. I past a few big tents of fireworks, and they all seemed really busy.
I was happy to get to Watkins Mill State Park. It has a nice little lake and big shade trees in the campground. After it cooled down to the 90s and started to get dark I walked down to the lake. I was able to see some fireworks that were happening a few miles away.
